Emily Bresnahan is a senior at Haverhill High School, she is an editor for the Brown & Gold. She has a passion for fashion, writing, photography, and web design. She will be majoring in communications next year, and hopes to work for a fashion magazine in the future. She participates in many extracurricular activities, including chorus, art club, and student government. Her favorite type of music is alternative rock, and she regularly attends concerts.With this newspaper, Emily hopes to further her editorial skills, in preparation for her future.
Alina Page is a senior at Haverhill High School. She is a part of the Editorial staff for the Brown & Gold school newspaper. She has a strong interest for journalism, creative writing, books and movies; especially if the movie is based off of a book. Alina is a very friendly person, and is strongly passionate in everything she does. Alina is very close to her family, friends and is very caring. She also has an obsession with french fries, and could eat them at any point in the day.
Jacob Valenti is a senior at Haverhill High School, he works in the Editorial section of Brown & Gold. He has been called handsome, hilarious, and heinous. He works at Hampstead’s Cherry Village Pizza and he runs the Creative Writing Club as well as the Book Club.  He enjoys writing and reading both poetry and prose. He enjoys a variety of music but mainly listens to punk and variations of punk. His favorite director is Quentin Tarantino, but also watches a variety of other films. Valenti looks forward to a career as an English teacher, while also delving into creative writing and film.

Michaela Kane is a senior at Haverhill High School. She is currently on the team that composes the Hillie Nation portion of the Brown & Gold. Her plans for next year include attending a four year college, but her major remains undecided. Her possible majors include physical therapy or education. Along with being a part of the school newspaper, she is also captain of the softball and ice hockey team at HHS.

Morgan Seale is currently a senior at Haverhill High School and is a member of the Editorial staff for the Brown & Gold. He went to Hill View Montessori Charter Public School for grades one through eight. Since freshman year at HHS he has been a member of the ski team and crew team, becoming the captain of both during his junior and senior years.


Lina Woronko is a junior at Haverhill High School and currently works in the World News section of Brown & Gold. She is a student athlete who runs for the track team and plays on the girl's volleyball team. Lina is close with her family and loves her dog more than anyone and anything in the world. She spends most of her free time with friends, eating, or taking naps. Lina always enjoys learning new things.

Emily Mills is known as Mills or Millzy. She is a senior in the Early College program here at HHS. Emily is in charge of the Entertainment section for the Brown & Gold. She is a former gymnast and cheerleader. She plans to join the new and upcoming HHS gymnastics team this winter.



Aubrie Campbell is the Senior class president and the head of Politics section in the Brown & Gold. She is excited to see the newspaper come back to the school. Aubrie is an active member of the drama club, NHS, Model UN, and the yearbook. #EC
Michael Whitcomb is a sixteen year old junior at Haverhill High School. He writes for the Entertainment section of the Brown & Gold. He plays volleyball, and runs track here at HHS. He enjoys watching the NFL, and the NBA. He plans on attending college after his senior year.

Dimitrios Stamoulis is a senior at HHS. He has played on the school's soccer team all four years. He also is one of the co-founders of the Creative Writing Club. He is currently the head of Brown & Gold's World News section.

Matt Connolly is a junior at HHS. He is a part of the Entertainment section of the Brown & Gold. Alongside Danny Garrity he will be writing movie, television, and music reviews. He (tries to) golf, plays basketball, and volleyball.

Kevin Stacey is a sixteen year old junior at Haverhill High School, and works in the Politics section of the Brown & Gold newspaper. He is looking to pursue a future career in journalism, and writing. Kevin enjoys being active, exercising, bike riding, and running. He is a coxswain on the HHS Crew team, and is a black belt in tae kwon do.
The name is Brian Haley. He is a senior at Haverhill High School. Brian is a writer for the Sports section of the Brown & Gold. He is the captain and starting center of the football team. Brian is also a varsity athlete for the lacrosse and ski teams. Next year, he plans to attend a four year college and pursue a business degree. Brian enjoys sports, music, and hanging out with friends in his spare time. He is also part of the early college program.

Marielis Batista is a junior at Haverhill High School. She moved to Haverhill with her family when she was just fourteen years old. She’s an avid student, sister, and daughter. She’s fluently bilingual. She dreams of a future career alongside a college education after graduating in 2017. She writes for the “Hillie Nation” column, while being an avid Hillie herself.

Brandon Wilson is a senior that has recently moved to Haverhill last year from Lawrence. He is writing in the Politics section of the Brown & Gold explaining parts of the local government. He is active in boxing, creative writing and photography/film-making. He plans on working straight after graduating.

Peter Orfanos is a senior at HHS. He plays on the varsity basketball team. He balances being a student athlete and having a job. You can find him regularly working as a cook at Ari's pizza in bradford. Some people refer to him as "Chef Panos" or "Greek God". He is heavily involved and takes pride in being part of Haverhill's Greek community.

Kathryn Morgan is a senior at Haverhill High School and is an active member of the Economics portion of the Brown & Gold. She is on the field hockey team, and a member of NHS. She also participates in yearbook club and Spanish club. She is extremely excited to close out her four years at HHS as a member of the Brown & Gold newspaper.

Colby Lawless is covering the Economic section of the Brown & Gold. She is in Creative Writing, plays ukulele and volunteers at the MSPCA. Colby is a senior at Haverhill High School and is part of Early College.

Stephanie Hathaway is an eighteen year old twelfth grader. She enjoys listening to her favorite bands and discovering new music. She also works a part time job at Market Basket trying to save her money to go away to a good college, but her mind is pretty set on necco for the first year or two. But besides working she enjoys her cat and family time.

Victoria MacMillan is currently a senior at Haverhill high school. She writes in the #hillienation column for the Brown & Gold. Victoria is enrolled in the Early College Program and is involved in school activities such as excel club, SADD, ski team, and yearbook committee.

Madison St.Pierre. She is also known as MSP. She is a part of the Economics section of the Brown & Gold. She likes to go to the gym and go shopping.

Jared Arriaga is a seventeen year old senior at Haverhill High School. He is covering the World News portion of the Brown & Gold. He enjoys fast food and animals, but not at the same time. He is also pretty fabulous.

Josephine Ricardo is a junior in Haverhill high school. She moved to Haverhill, MA two years ago from New Jersey. She is an average student, is starting to read more books and within journalism is learning new ways to improve her writing skills. She knows how to speak fluent Spanish even though she can't translate as well. Josephine's intentions with the Brown & Gold is to help teenagers including herself to read not only the newspaper but to learn about political events and what is going on involving politics.
Danny Garrity is a junior at Haverhill High School. He currently writes for the Entertainment section for the Brown & Gold with his good friend Matt Connolly and has a small section on video games. He also enjoys playing football and running track.

Alpha Cepeda is a junior at Haverhill High School. She’s the oldest of three children and a family oriented, ambitious young student. She plans of attending college after her graduation in 2017. She writes for the “Hillie Nation” portion of the paper.





Cody Kucker is an English teacher at Haverhill High School and the driving force and editor of the Brown and Gold. He is passionate about nature, a lack of technology, literary and poetic classics. His hobbies include reading, writing, camping, spending time with his dog and girlfriend.
